Sol Midwifery

Sol Midwifery is a home birth business located in Lapeer Michigan. I started studying as a midwife in 2018. Shortly after beginning my apprenticeship I knew that this would be my career. I quickly fell in love with the atmosphere created during a home birth. The continuity of care between midwife and client forms a trusting relationship that builds a foundation for a safe birth. 

 

Before I started studying midwifery, I was a student at Oakland University. I  earned my Bachelors Degree of Integrative Studies with minors in Spanish and Psychology. It was during these years that I had the opportunity to visit Mexico, Ecuador, Haiti and Honduras. After apprenticing at close to 80 births, and passing the midwifery boards exam, I was blessed enough to deliver two of my own babies at home as well.
